Our academic program is based on four components: the Foundation program, major concentration, elective courses, and participation in co-curricular activities. Our Foundation requirements lays the structure for life-long intellectual pursuit, ensuring that each NYSU graduate can:

• Understand how historical forces have shaped human cultures

• Participate in the analysis of artistic expression or in the performance or production of art
• Gain facility with mathematical reasoning and expression

• Develop intermediate proficiency in a foreign language
